On Nights Like These by Swinging Stars Management

Kamis malam (13/08) kemaren di area ballroom Bumi Sangkuriang (BS) jadi saksi satu gelaran seru yang digagas oleh Swinging Stars Management, yes acara itu bernama On Nights Like These! Event yang rencananya akan digelar secara regular itu menghadirkan band-band indie pop kenamaan kota Bandung seperti Annemarie, Cascade, Hollywood Nobody, Olive Tree dan tentunya Mocca. Event malam itu juga dihadiri tamu dari Beatball Record Korea dan Inthebox Record Malaysia yang sengaja hadir untuk menyaksikan event yang diusung management band Mocca ini.

Acara dimulai sekitar pukul setengah 8 malam, saat For tiba Annemarie yang digawangi 2 orang personil cewek pada posisi vocal dan keyboard ini sedang tampil dihadapan para penonton yang asik berduduk-duduk santai. Pop versi Annemarie ini cukup unik (seperti band-band indie pop Bandung lainnya yang selalu beda dari yang lain), di penghujung penampilannya Annemarie berbaik hati dengan membagikan permen para penonton On Nights Like These malam itu. Setelah itu tibalah penampilan dari band yang paling saya tunggu-tunggu, band dengan vokalis bersuara unik itu bernama Olive Tree. Olive Tree malam itu tampil featuring dengan Boni, salah satu personil dari band Rock and Roll yang tiada lain tiada bukan adalah suami dari Kiki Chan vokalis Olive Tree. Band yang mengklaim music mereka dengan sebutan Strawberry Rock ini membawakan lagu-lagu hits mereka seperti Psycho Girl, Winter Holiday dll. Permainan piano dan suara khas dari Kiki Chan ini mendapatkan sambutan hangat dari para penonton yang hadir malam itu. Pertunjukan dilanjutkan dengan penampilan dari Cascade yang membawakan lagu-lagunya dari EP mereka yang bertajuk Pieces of The World seperti single mereka the Hypnotize dan lagu berjudul She Pretend yang membawa mereka sebagai salah satu finalis LA Indie Fest beberapa taun lalu. Selain Cascade tampil pula Hollywood Nobody yang gak kalah keren malam itu, dengan pop, jazz dan bossanova ala Hollywod Nobody membuat para penonton tampak sangat menikmati pertunjukan malam itu. Ballroom BS yang dihadari ratusan penonton yang kebanyakan dressed to kill untuk datang ke event ini dibuat bernyanyi bersama Hollywood Nobody saat mereka membawakan lagu Love Song dari The Cure yang mereka cover ulang dengan aransemen yang sangat catchy.

Jam dinding BS menunjukkan pukul 10.00 malam dan para penonton terlihat gak sabar menunggu penampilan berikutnya di On Nights Like These, apalagi kalo bukan penampilan dari Arina, dkk dari Mocca! Tanpa banyak basa-basi Mocca langsung menyuguhi para Swinging Friends dengan lagu-lagu andalan mereka yang sudah tidak asing lagi ditelinga para penonton malam itu, sebut saja Lucky Me, Me and My Boyfriend, dll. Pada lagu Do What You Wanna Do, Arina mengajak semua vokalis yang tampil malam itu untuk gabung ke panggung dan bernyanyi bersama, jangan tanya hasilnya seperti apa karena lagu itu menjadi lebih hidup setelah dinyanyikan berbagai karakter vokalis dari Cascade, Olive Tree, Hollywood Nobody dan Annemarie. Pertunjukan pun usai sekitar pukul 10.45 malam dan penonton yang datang malam itu tampak puas termasuk crew For yang dapat menikmati acara ini dengan sangat nyaman dan diperlakukan dengan sangat baik oleh para panitia.
